During the spring of 2021 Opus RSDs were deployed at different locations in the Port of Antwerp and the city of Antwerp to monitor approximately 235,000 cars, vans and trucks. The police conducted roadside inspections with and without the RSD.
It became clear how useful the RSD is for the police. In the inspections without RSD pre-screening, only about 2% of the vehicles had defects or fraud. However, when the police used the RSD as an alert system, this figure increased to 52%.
