Remote sensing technology can identify the worst polluting vehicles circulating in urban areas, enabling government agencies to target only those that cause the biggest problems for air quality.
30+ years operating high-emitters identification programs for selective action.
A reliable and automated solution for identifying the highest-emitting vehicles within a given area.
The problem
High-emitters are of any type and age. They are so polluting that they are responsible for a large part of all emissions generated by road traffic.
The top 1% of the most polluting vehicles in the fleet are responsible for up to 40% of all road transport emissions.

The solution
When a sensor finds a high-emitter, the authorities can act selectively on that vehicle, by forcing its urgent reinspection, issuing a sanction or forcing its repair.
01Monitoring
A network of RSDs monitors the real emissions of each vehicle.
02Identification
If a vehicle exceeds predefined emission limits and several rules are met, it is automatically identified as a High Emitter.
03Notification
The authority notifies the driver or owner of the vehicle. The level of response depends on the decision of the authority.
04Correction
The vehicle can be repaired, decommissioned or taxed in different ways. All this results in a reduction of emissions.
