MASORANGE includes the measurement of its fleet’s emissions in its annual results
Spain 2024
Related to
MASORANGE, a telecommunications company that is the market leader in Spain in terms of number of customers and one of the 20 largest companies in Spain in terms of revenue, has opted for Opus RSD technology to monitor its fleet of vehicles, with the aim of understanding its environmental impact and proactively advancing in decarbonization and the improvement of society.
Opus analyzed the real-world emissions levels of the MASORANGE car fleet in 2024. The result: the company’s fleet is clearly cleaner than the established benchmark. The MASORANGE Emission Score is 0.89 g/km, 83% lower than the benchmark (average of cars on the road in Spanish cities in 2024). The measurements showed that:
- The condition of the vehicles was very good, indicating that they were properly maintained and cared for.
- The plug-in hybrid vehicles were driven in electric mode almost all the time, demonstrating that the employees made proper use of this type of vehicle.
In addition, a few cars that were identified as having higher than expected emission levels were sent to workshops to correct them, thus reducing their pollutant emissions.
In the company’s annual report, this use case was shown as an example of Corporate Social Responsibility. The company is committed to continuing to audit itself annually, to monitor the evolution of its fleet’s emissions and to intervene promptly in the event that any anomaly is found.
